The first puzzle from OnePlus is delayed
The manufacturer is said to have changed the display supplier at the last minute
The flexible panels are to be supplied by Samsung
The company OnePlus is no longer just a manufacturer of flagship killers, with its wide portfolio in recent years it has reached a significantly wider group of users. At the end of this summer, the Chinese company planned to join the ranks of flexible smartphone manufacturers, but in the end had to reconsider its plans. Fortunately, this is a sensible decision.
OnePlus Open will arrive a little later
The upcoming OnePlus Open flexible smartphone was supposed to be presented on August 29, although the manufacturer never officially confirmed this date. Acclaimed whistleblower Max Jambor has now published a report that OnePlus will miss the August unveiling deadline for one major reason – it decided to switch display suppliers at the last minute.
Open Launch got pushed back a bit, but no worries the delay is actually good in a way
Open was supposed to have a BOE screen but turns out it was 👎🏼 – new panels are from Samsung ✅
Stay tuned for an exciting device!

Initially, the OnePlus Open was expected to use flexible panels from BOE, but the manufacturer changed them at the last minute for displays from Samsung. The Korean giant is considered a technological leader in the field of flexible displays, so this last-minute exchange can be considered reasonable. Unfortunately, at this point, we have no idea what delay the OnePlus Open will take.
Lightning fast charging
The upcoming jigsaw will go to the world under the banner of two brands – while it will bear the name OnePlus Open in the global market, it will be sold as Oppo Find N3 in China. The Chinese version is even currently collecting important certifications, the one from the 3C agency revealed important information about the charging speed.
The Oppo Find N3, thus the OnePlus Open, is supposed to support SuperVOOC charging technology, which will give the phone the ability to charge up to 100W. Previous generations of Oppo Find had 33 and 66 watt charging respectively, so it will be the same size intergenerational “step”. The Oppo Find X6 Pro smartphone, for example, manages the same fast charging, which is able to charge from 0 to 100 percent in just half an hour.
The OnePlus Open is supposed to be a well-equipped book-type puzzle, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 16GB of RAM and a versatile 48-, 48- and 64-megapixel camera setup. The cameras will sport the Hasselblad logo, with one of them said to be a periscope telephoto lens. The phone is supposed to measure just 11 millimeters in waist and is supposed to be offered in black and green. Its price is said not to exceed 1,500 pounds (about 42 thousand crowns).
