Arsenal of Firearms Found in Home of Murdered Swiss Citizen, Reto Schraner, in Escobar

In continuation of the investigation of the commando-type murder of the Swiss citizen, Reto Schraner, in Escobar, the investigators carried out an intervention in the victim’s house, in which they found an arsenal of firearms.

Shotguns, pistols and tactical equipment were found by police officers and prosecutors in the home of the victim of the commando-type murder, Reto Schraner, a Swiss citizen, this Thursday during a search.

The interveners verified the house, as well as two containers that were in the place, of which four 12 mm and 3 mm caliber shotgun-type firearms, four caliber pistol-type firearms were seized from one of them. 9 mm, various 22 mm, 38 mm and 9 mm ammunition, and 12 mm shotgun ammunition, as well as tactical equipment.

The operation was carried out at the victim’s house, located in the Ypah’u Company, district of the city of Escobar, department of Paraguarí. Prosecutor Mercedes Vera, from Paraguarí regional unit No. 1, was in charge of the operation, as well as personnel from the Homicide Department of the National Police, headed by Deputy Commissioner David Delgado.

Murder of the Swiss citizen

Last Monday, Reto Schraner, a 51-year-old Swiss citizen, was murdered in his home by a commando-type group made up of six people who arrived in a van, according to what the neighbors told the investigators.

The victim received several bullet wounds to the chest and face, and his three Pitbull dogs were shot to death.
