New details were revealed in a horrific crime that shook the Iraqi capital last month, which led to the death of a 7-year-old boy named Musa Walaa after he was shockingly tortured by his stepmother.
Today, Thursday, Baghdad Crime Control published a video of the murderous stepmother’s confession, in which she said I killed the child by torture, until he died in Al-Khatib district of Al-Shula city in Baghdad.
She said, “I hit him many times that cannot be counted, and he was calling me Mama, and I pushed him by force, and he fell on a glass window, and it shattered from the force of the blow.”
His brother tells the details of the torture
Ahmed, the victim’s brother, also narrated minute, terrifying details that he witnessed, confirming that the stepmother put salt in his brother’s eyes, placed his hands on the oven, and always hit him with a knife on his head and body, indicating that when he died, she said he was acting.
“My father used to see the marks of torture on the bodies of me and my brother, but he did not pay attention to it,” he said in a video on combating crime in Baghdad, noting that his stepmother used to dress the child in winter clothes to cover the marks of torture.
His hands were burned on the stove
He also continued, “She used to put salt in his eyes and mouth, and when he told her that he was going to vomit, she would tell him, ‘I will kill you and give you more’,” adding that his brother’s hands were burnt because she put them on the gas.
He also said that she hit his brother with a knife on the head in 3 areas of his head, leaving clear marks.
My brother died on my leg..and I demand her execution
Ahmed talked about the last moments of his brother’s life and said, “My brother died on my feet and in front of my eyes. He stopped himself and his eyes became white,” indicating that she was hitting him while he was a dead body and acting normal.
He also said, “He died at 11 in the morning, and at 3 in the afternoon, I called my father and told him to bury your son,” adding, “My father was not affected and said that he is acting.”
The child, Ahmed, demanded the right of his brother and the execution of his stepmother.
Mother of the child: I did not abandon my children.. and I have a complaint for their custody
For her part, the child’s mother said in a Baghdad crime combat video that she did not abandon her children, but the father deprived her of them and said, “I filed a complaint for custody of my children, but my husband told me I do not recognize the law and I will take your children and kill them.”
A crime that shook the Iraqi street
And Iraqi media had reported that last month the body of the child was found lying on the ground in the house and he had died due to torture.
The pictures of the child, which were spread on social media, angered the Iraqi street, especially since his corpse bore traces of the bloody torture he was subjected to.
An officer who witnessed the crime scene told Ultra Iraq that “signs of severe torture appeared on the child’s body,” noting that “the wife confessed, after an in-depth investigation, to having committed the crime of violence, and she is now subject to legal procedures at the Shula police station, in preparation for her presentation to the judiciary.” .
