Santiago Giménez, a Mexican striker who has been targeted by Benfica, has just renewed his contract with the Dutch club until 2027.
The Rotterdam club revealed this Thursday that the 22-year-old striker, who had a contract until 2026, has renewed for another season, until June 2027, without disclosing any changes to the termination clause.
“I thank Feyenoord for the confidence that this contract extension expresses”, said the player after signing the new contract.
“The club helped me in every possible way to ensure that my adaptation was good when I came to Rotterdam. Thanks to the help of the coaches and my colleagues, I had a great first season with the support of the fans who always give incredible energy. With this, I’m really living my dream at the moment and I’m more than looking forward to next season and our new challenges», highlighted the striker who will continue to play with the number 29.
We recall that Santiago Giménez was on Benfica’s radar as a possible alternative to Gonçalo Ramos who, like morefootball already announced, already has an agreement defined with Paris Saint-Germain.
