BRATISLAVA – Milan Škriniar is gradually getting acclimatized to his new teammates in the Paris Saint-Germain team, with whom he is currently on an Asian tour.
The Slovakian representative already played in his new club’s pre-season matches against Al-Nassr (0:0) and even against his ex-colleagues from Inter Milan (1:2). The 28-year-old defender started as a stopper alongside the captain of the Parisians, Marquinhos.
In the latest interview on the official website of the French club, Škriniar took part in a mutual conversation with teammate Cher Ndour. The native of Brescia, Italy also signed for PSG during the summer, so the new signings could speak to each other in Italian.
“I consider PSG one of the strongest and most important football clubs in the world. It is a club that grows every year. There have always been excellent players. We also have an excellent coach who wants to play good football, so my decision was very simple.” said Skriniar.

“After my wedding, which was very beautiful, I was really happy to come to Paris. I’m happy to be part of the big PSG family. The boys have been great to me, both those who have been at the club and the newcomers . Everyone and the staff who work for the club, everyone has been perfect. The training center is incredible. I’ve never seen a sports center like that, maybe even on TV. It’s really breathtaking.” the Slovak described his feelings about his arrival at PSG.

And who did the native of Žiar nad Hron immediately start talking to? “My first day at the club was good. I came to a new team with new teammates, but everyone was very nice. Since I speak Italian, I spoke maybe more with Marco Verratti, or Gianluigi Donnarumma. But I think we all understand each other and we get along.”
Škriniar also addressed his defensive teammates: “The players in the defense are very strong and there is a lot of competition for the position of defenders. We try to communicate with each other to understand each other. I can say that it is going well. Of course you always find things that you can improve, but they are all excellent players and true champions.”
“It was a wonderful feeling to wear this shirt, which means a lot of pressure, but that’s part of it because you’re in such a big club like PSG. I’m happy about it and I want to continue to grow here. The manager and the whole coaching staff want us to keep the ball, which I personally like very much. I like to play with the ball, but we still have a lot of work to do. From my point of view, the whole team is doing what the manager wants from them. This is how we will improve.” the Slovak representative added in the interview.
