In addition to voice chat, you can now stream your Xbox gameplay directly on Discord. Discord is about to launch “Stream to Discord” for Xbox platform users, as long as you are Xbox Insiders, it is possible to experience it first.
Discord confirmed that it will soon support Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One game screen streaming. At this stage, it is open to specific players first, and the streaming provides the highest resolution of 1080p and more information will be released later this year.
The usage is similar to that of the previous consoles connected to the social platform, which is a derivative function built on the Xbox to connect to the Discord voice chat. Those who have completed the Xbox voice setting can continue to use it.
First complete the linking of Xbox and Discord accounts. In the Discord computer version and mobile device version, select “User Settings” > “Connection”. In the “Connection” menu, you will see an “X” logo (the X here is not X from Twitter, but X from Microsoft Xbox).
Then go back to the computer version of Discord to confirm that the “Link” option and settings have been completed.
Finally, turn on the Xbox host, press the “X” button of the Xbox wireless controller, open the “Party and Chat” of Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, select “Discord”, and select an available server to join the voice channel. If you need to stream, select “Stream your game”.
