The Czech car manufacturer Škoda has officially demonstrated the modernized Kamiq and Scala models, which have received mid-life improvements, or feisliftu. Both models were first shown back in 2019 and are now receiving their first major upgrades of this generation.
From technical and significant improvements, we can immediately mention that these models are available with modern Matrix LED lights for the first time. Of course, it is a pleasure to pay extra, but previously Matrix LED lights were not offered on these two models. Otherwise, the changes are more cosmetic – slightly adjusted radiator grills, headlight design and LED daytime running lights pattern, as well as new disc designs. Classic changes.

Continuing on the technical side, Škoda abandons the use of diesel engines in both models. The Scala and Kamiq will henceforth only be available with gasoline engines from the well-known and well-known VW range. Available 1.0TSI engine with 95Zs power and 5-speed manual gearbox. There is a 115-horsepower version of the same engine that can be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission. Finally, a 1.5TSI engine with 150 horsepower is also available and is also available with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic DSG gearbox. Abandoning diesel engines is a wider trend in the automotive industry.
Škoda is proud that more recycled materials are used in the interior of the models. They are used for both the door panels and the front panel, as well as elsewhere in the cabin. Both models will be equipped with an 8-inch digital instrument panel as standard equipment, but a 10.25-inch screen will also be available for an additional fee. The standard multimedia screen will be 8.25 inches, but a better 9.2-inch screen is also available.
At the moment, we are waiting for more information about prices and availability from Škoda, but we can predict that the modernized models will be slightly more expensive than the current cars. Deliveries of the machines could begin at the end of the year and early next year.
