Al-Marsad Newspaper: A young man told the story of his mother’s organ donation after her brain death last month.
The young man, Ihab Tawfiq, said during an interview with Al-Arabiya channel, that his mother, Zakia Muhammad, had an old desire to donate her organs, and she told one of her daughters this matter several years ago, and her desire to donate increased after the deterioration of her health.
And he continued: The Organ Transplant Center contacted us, and they told us that there was a patient in the Specialized Hospital in Riyadh in critical condition and needed a donor liver, pointing out that his mother had submitted a request to the center to donate her organs earlier.
He pointed out that the center requested approval to perform the operation, and the center responded and signed the donation paper with approval, and he went on to say: “It was the most difficult situation that I faced in my life.”
