Al-Nasr Club Negotiating to Buy Out Stefan Savic’s Contract from Atletico Madrid

The management of Al-Nasr Club opened negotiations with its Spanish counterpart, Atletico Madrid, to buy the remaining period of the 32-year contract of Montenegrin international Stefan Savic.
A private source revealed to Al-Riyadiah that the negotiations with the Spaniards came at the request of Portuguese coach Luis Castro, after the club’s management informed him of the difficulty of contracting with Paraguayan Gustavo Gomez because of the exaggerated financial demands by the Brazilian Palmeiras administration.
Savic’s contract with the Spanish club expires on July 30, 2024.
The Montenegrin defender began his professional career in the Serbian club Bursa in the 2008-2009 season, after which he moved to Partizan, who plays in the same league, to land his travels after that in England through the Manchester City gate in the 2011 season, before moving to Italian Fiorentina in 2015, and then to Atletico Madrid with a deal estimated at the time. with 15 million euros.
Savic played 264 matches with Madrid, scoring 3 and making the same, with a total of 22,511 minutes, in various competitions.
On the other hand, Castro postponed the fate of Senegalese Sadio Mane, the team’s player, in today’s match against Egyptian Zamalek in the King Salman Cup for Arab Clubs, until the technical meeting this afternoon.
And according to Al-Riyadiah’s private sources, the player met with the coach after yesterday’s training and informed him of his need for additional fitness training, as he could only participate basically for 60 minutes.
