Italian pop-rapper Baby Kay, who was accidentally injured as a result of a collision with one of her fans, announced on Wednesday that she had to stop her summer concert tour, denouncing what she described as “crazy” taking selfies without taking into account the artists’ safety.
And Baby Kay confirmed that she had suffered a “blow in the chest” as a result of a woman colliding with her at the end of a party that was taking place on Monday in Teramo (east), at a time when her fans were crowding around her bus seeking to take selfies with her.
The 40-year-old singer, who suffered difficulty breathing after the accident, explained that she was taken to the hospital for medical examinations, which prompted her to stop her music tour.
“The most important thing for people is to take pictures, but the situation has become very dangerous,” the singer said in a video clip on TikTok, adding, “It’s crazy behaviour.”
“I am not complaining about taking pictures, but it is not possible not to prioritize the artist’s safety,” she added, accusing the local police of not carrying out their tasks properly.
Baby Kay (40 years old), whose real name is Claudia Nahum, was born in Singapore and lived in London and then in Rome. Hundreds of thousands of copies of her albums were sold, while many of her songs, including “Roma Bangkok” and “Killer”, achieved great success.
And in 2022, she released the song “Bolero” with the British-French-Lebanese singer Mika.
More than 730,000 users follow her Instagram account, while the “Roma Bangkok” video clip has more than 300 million views on her YouTube channel.
