The Hollywood beauty is currently starring in the US comedy “No Hard Feelings”, which has been in German cinemas since the end of June. To promote the film and tidbits about her big role, she’s been busy interviewing for the past few weeks. She also speaks to friend and actress Cameron Diaz Interview Magazine about her latest film and how she can balance her job with her private life. She also raves about her husband Cooke Maroney, without whom she probably wouldn’t be able to reconcile all this:
Luckily my husband is the greatest dad in the whole world. So when I work, I feel no more guilt than the usual everyday, all-day parental guilt.
The two reportedly met in the spring of 2018 through best friend Laura Simpson. According to People, she hadn’t considered marriage at the time, but apparently changed her mind when the spark struck: “I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other, we wanted to be fully committed.”
In fact, Maroney proposes to her in less than a year. Even then, the Hollywood actress could hardly believe her luck. In an interview with magazine ET she reveals that the answer to the big question was a “very, very simple decision”:
Well, he’s just the best person I’ve ever met in my life.
How Lawrence and Maroney met and fell in love
Cooke Maroney is not Jennifer Lawrence’s first partner. She has had relationships with other prominent men before. To this day, the actress appreciates the “normal” things in everyday life with her husband. In an interview with Vanity Fair she says that the most beautiful moments are in the supermarket: “I really enjoy going to the supermarket with him. I don’t know why, but it fills me with great joy.”
