Formula 1 and TCR Showdown in Most: Exciting Racing Specials and More

If we stay for a moment with the most famous racing specials in the world, Formula 1 single-seaters will compete in Most as part of the MAXX Formula series. Maybe you’ve seen a similar venture before, I was lucky enough at the Red Bull Ring and it’s a massacre. I don’t want to be downright old-fashioned, but when an atmospheric ten-cylinder roars around the circuit, it absolutely cannot stand comparison with anything contemporary. Let alone the current six-cylinder hybrids.

As I already wrote, the weekend circuit showdown in Most will not be just about Formula 1, but we can look forward to, among other things, balanced battles between the TCR Eastern Europe drivers. Of course, Vašek Janík’s team, whose rider Maťo Homola is leading the current championship standings, will also fight here. Vašek himself will then show you in a video how to drive the Bridge correctly. To keep you in the loop, the onboard recording comes from last year’s second race, in which Vašek started from fifth place. And as you can see from the video, his start went exceptionally well, from fifth place he took the lead right after the first combination of turns. That’s how it’s done!

If you were interested in the time, Vašek clocked 1:41.6 in the race. I wonder if I should brag about my time in the TCR special. But I have several excuses! I’m not a racer, years ago I had about eight laps and I did… 1:44.5. It’s out there, at least you can see how much faster the pros are than a slightly educated hobbyist.

In addition to the continuous leader Mať Homola, Vašek Janík’s team will also traditionally have Adam Kout and the promising Polish youngster Carlo Czepiel. Vášek will then sit in a KTM X-Bow GTX, with which he will participate in an endurance race as part of the ESET Cup.

The weekend program will be complemented by the Renault Twingo and Clio Cup races, and the new F4 CEZ Championship by FIA series could be interesting, which should serve as an intermediate stage for young kart racers before transferring to the world of big formulas.

Did I tempt you? If you plan to go to Most (and I hope you do), you will pay four hundred for a one-day entrance on Saturday or Sunday, Friday is free. A weekend ticket costs six hundred, children under fifteen are always admitted for free.
