Lizzo Faces Lawsuit for Harassment, Discrimination, and Assault by Former Dancers

Washington (AFP) – American singer Lizzo is being sued by three of her former dancers for cases of “harassment”, “discrimination” and “assault” in particular, according to court documents consulted by AFP on Tuesday.

Plaintiffs Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez have alleged “sexual, religious and racial harassment, disability discrimination, assault and forcible confinement, among other things,” their law firm said in a statement. .

Ms David and Ms Williams “were ultimately fired as Ms Rodriguez resigned in the face of this distressing behavior”, he added.

The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles, CA against Lizzo and others.

The charges include interactions with other people the dancers say they were coerced into by Lizzo during a performance in Amsterdam’s Red Light District, according to the complaint.

The artist’s head dancer, Shirlene Quigley, is accused of having frequently made comments of a sexual nature and tried to spread her Christian faith, in particular concerning sex before marriage, “despite protests”.

The dancers also claim there was a long-standing dispute over their pay.

Representatives of the American popstar did not respond immediately.
