With delicious elegance, Francesco Zet took his 16th straight victory on Tuesday night.

– You mostly sit and cozy up and he does what he has to, said coachman Örjan Kihlström

Solvalla offered great competitions on Tuesday evening with V64. The big draw was Daniel Redén’s superstar Francesco Zet (V64-1) who chased his 16th victory in a row in Victory Tilly’s race, also qualifying for the Margareta Wallenius Kleberg Cup on August 16 at Solvalla with SEK 1.5 million in first prize.
As expected, Francesco Zet was not put to any major tests. The competitors have, quite rightly, great respect for Francesco Zet and he was released to the lead after 400 meters by Magnus A Djuse behind Sourire Frö. Once in the lead, Francesco Zet ran at half speed and ran mostly, waiting for his competitors. Over the run he slipped away by a length for a strong finishing Lozano di Quattro.
– He felt soft and nice today. The race didn’t say much and he just runs and waits for them at the end. He can’t feel better and he doesn’t do more than what is asked of him, said Örjan Kihlström.
– He was so damn drunk in the warm-up and something bothered him in a positive way. He can mess it up on his own and it looked like he was just running and playing. He wasn’t tired and will go forward considerably with this race, said Daniel Redén.
Francesco Zet has won 21 races in 23 starts and has not lost since August 21, 2021. With tonight’s victory, he has earned over SEK 17 million.

Beautiful three-year-olds

In the Summer Favorite for three-year-old stallions and geldings with SEK 200,000 to the winner, Icebreaker Pellini (V64-3), trained by Maria Törnqvist, took the lead together with Dwight Pieters. The pace was not excessively high and Flotilla, sitting on the outside, had no thought of pushing up the speed. In the last turn, Flotilla was very close and it weighed down the whole race, but Icebreaker Pellini refused to give up and won by a head to spare.
– It is so much fun to work with such beautiful animals, it is a favour, said Maria Törnqvist.
Larah Westwood (V64-5) was equally rewarded with the Summer favorite for mares. Mattias Djuse trains the three-year-old, who developed a lot at the end. Magnus A Djuse drove straight to the lead with Larah Westwood and after an opening lap at a pleasant pace it went all the faster in the end and Larah Westwood won easily without having to show everything.
– She was very nice and developed a lot on the new balance. It bites very well for her, said Magnus A Djuse.

Splendor in V64-4

Elias Engman offered a real bang behind Opulent Tile, dashed at 0.38 percent in V64-4. Elias gave Opulent Tile a perfect run in third on the inside track and when the gap came on the final turn, Opulent Tile had the best of the race.
– He is great and this was beyond expectation. You just get happy. This is our hobby and we have four horses together, said trainer Maj-Li Jönsson.

Torbjörn Jansson finished the V64 round with Roger Walmann’s Rosemary Tile and ensured that the V64 value received another boost. Six correct pays SEK 133,362, five correct SEK 298 and four correct SEK 24.
