The bridge on the Mörfelder Landstraße should probably be closed for two months for the upcoming repairs, said a railway spokesman on Tuesday. And that means that the delays in long-distance rail traffic that have been in place for days will remain in place.

The railway bridge, over which the double-track route “Frankfurt Stadion – Frankfurt Süd” and the single-track connecting curve “Forsthaus – Frankfurt Niederrad” lead, will initially remain closed to rail traffic. “As a result, individual ICE/IC lines are still traveling on alternative routes with about 20 minutes longer travel time,” it said.
