The West Azerbaijani Community condemned the anti-Azerbaijani statement of the European Parliament

Anti-Azerbaijan, which M. Kaliurdand, the head of the delegation of the European Parliament for relations with the South Caucasus of the West Azerbaijan Community, A. Kovachev, the permanent rapporteur on Armenia, and Z. Zovko, the permanent rapporteur on Azerbaijan, claimed that there is a “humanitarian situation” regarding the Armenians living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. condemned his statement. SIA reports that it was informed by the West Azerbaijan Community.

It was stated that prejudice against Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis in the European Parliament is systematic and even contains elements of hatred.

“The European Parliament, in particular, the three deputies whose names have been mentioned, defended Armenia’s position on all issues that cause disagreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. In some cases, their position was even more radical than Armenia’s position.

Against the backdrop of the European Parliament’s immediate support for Armenia’s unverified claims, its silence on crimes against humanity such as the ethnic cleansing of Armenia, the erasure of Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage, and mass renaming of places, leaving not a single Azerbaijani there, is an obvious prejudice.

All this shows that the aim of the European Parliament is not to promote human rights, international law and peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, but to fuel tensions in the region.

We call on the European Parliament to abandon its biased approach and to support the peaceful, safe and dignified return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia within the framework of verification and guarantee mechanisms and legally binding international agreements,” the community said.
