And it went for a walk around the feasts of European monarchs, and then, with the invention of the whipping machine, it began to get cheaper and gain fans among the common people.

In general, we are lucky: at any time we can buy ourselves a portion of a cooling dessert. Ah, stop! We are for healthy and wholesome food. How is ice cream with this?

Of course, this is not a dietary product: the more fat the ice cream, the tastier it is. On the other hand, our body needs fats. Consider a serving as a full meal, eat ice cream no more than three times a week, then it will not harm your figure and stomach.

Useful substances are present in the product if it is made from whole milk or cream: vitamins D, A, B12, B5, calcium, phosphorus. It invigorates and increases the level of serotonin, that is, it improves mood – this is a scientifically proven fact.

But in the composition of purchased ice cream, you will certainly find additives:

stabilizer – improves consistency. Previously, it was starch or gelatin, now more often gum or algae extract, in general, substances of natural origin. emulsifier – makes the structure homogeneous and creamy. Derivatives of vegetable fatty acids (E471) are used. Considered safe. dyes – the packaging should indicate whether natural or synthetic.

Therefore, many are switching to homemade ice cream. There are hundreds of recipes on the Internet. To get a classic product, and not just freeze whipped milk with condensed milk, use the standard composition: cream, milk, egg yolks, sugar. And an ice cream maker – the choice is now great, the price is acceptable (from 2 thousand rubles). You will have to tinker a little, but you will definitely know that you have put only healthy products (to check how healthy your ice cream is, play our game).

Castoreum is a beaver anal secret that smells of vanilla. Previously, it was added to ice cream, now they have found a cheaper replacement.
