On the afternoon of August 1, the Inspectorate of Ho Chi Minh City held a random draw program to select people to have their assets and income verified in the second phase, in 2023.
As a result of the lottery, 168 officials from 10 agencies and units were selected to verify their assets and income for the second phase, in 2023. In which, the Department of Construction has a number of officials who have verified assets and income. This phase is the highest, up to 62 people.
The remaining cadres belong to the following nine agencies and units: People’s Committee of District 12 (19 people); People’s Committee of Hoc Mon district (26 people); Department of Science and Technology (6 people); Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (28 people); Department of Home Affairs (3 people); Construction Investment Project Management Board of civil and industrial works (2 people); Saigon Tourism Corporation – One Member Limited Liability Company (14 people); Saigon Culture Corporation – One Member Limited Liability Company (3 people) and Saigon Construction Corporation – One Member Limited Liability Company (5 people).

Head of the Anti-corruption Inspection Department-Ho Chi Minh City Inspector Trinh Minh Vuong said that the person who is obliged to declare is subject to the annual declaration of assets and income.
The person who is obliged to declare has not been verified about assets and income during the previous four consecutive years. Persons obliged to declare do not fall into one of the following cases: Persons being investigated, prosecuted or tried; Persons being treated for a serious illness certified by a competent health authority; People who are studying or working abroad for 12 months or more.
Previously, at the first phase of the first phase of this year, Ho Chi Minh City held a random draw of 98 people from 12 agencies and units to verify assets and income.
