The new (5G) version is similar to the (4G) version, which was announced in mid-June, in many specifications, but the most prominent feature of the new version is support for fifth-generation networks.
(Redmi 12 5G) contains an eight-core (Snapdragon 4 generation 2) chip made with 4 nanometer technology, which operates at a frequency of 2.2 GHz with the graphics processing interface (Adreno 613).
For comparison, the (4G) version came with the eight-core (MediaTek Halo G88) chip, made with 12 nm technology, operating at a frequency of 2.0 GHz, and comes with the Mali-G52 MC2 graphics processing unit.
(Redmi 12 5G) offers a 6.79-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2,4601,080 pixels, with a density of 396 pixels per inch.
The phone, which comes with a thickness of 8.2 mm and weighs 198.5 grams, is protected by a layer of (Gorilla Glass) from Corning on the screen and the back.
The phone supports water and dust resistance according to the IPX53 standard, and it also runs on the Android 13 operating system with the user interface (MIUI 14). UFS 2.2) with a capacity of 128 GB, or 256 GB, with the ability to expand via external memory cards (microSDXC).

(Redmi 12 5G) also contains a 5000 mAh battery, with support for 18-watt charging technology.
As for the (4G) version, it has an 8-megapixel camera for the second camera, in addition to a third camera dedicated to shooting depth with a 2-megapixel resolution with an f/2.4 lens slot.
The phone, which comes with a port for earphones, supports Bluetooth 5.3 technology, NFC technology, in addition to a fingerprint sensor within a side button, and the phone will start selling in India as of next “Friday”, and there is no information currently about when it will be available in other markets. .
