Astronomers warn of an expected strong geomagnetic storm.
According to data from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA), it will be of class G1/G2. It could intensify to G3, scientists warn, as the cause is a new portion of matter ejected from the Sun.
On Friday, July 28, around 3-4 p.m. Bulgarian time, a M4 and S2 class solar flare was recorded from sunspot AR3372. A plasma was ejected with a speed of 900-1000 km/s, which was aimed at our planet.
