The electric car charging network “Eleport” continues its development and has opened 6 new charging stations. In Riga, three new charging stations have been installed in the parking lot of the “Augusts” shopping center and the “Gemoss” store, and a new “SimpleCharge” station has been added to the charging network. On the other hand, two more stations have been installed in Salacgrīva near the recreation complex “Kapteiņu osta”, providing a total of 11 new ports in Latvia.
“We adapt each new station to its end user, so we carefully consider the required capacity, usage habits, and also look for the best market solutions. Eleport wants to make electric cars easier to use, so the end-user experience is very important to us. And it is very important to provide this experience not only in the capital, but also in other parts of Latvia, so that the electric car infrastructure is subordinated to the residents of all Latvia, as well as to tourists, who increasingly use electric cars for travel. The new stations have been installed in carefully thought-out locations, which is an addition to the dynamic development of “Eleport” in the Baltic states,” says Kārlis Mendziņš, head of “Eleport Latvija”.

In Riga, two 200 kW* ultra-fast charging stations have been installed in the underground parking lot of “Augusts” or “Pļavnieku tirsis”, capable of charging at a charging speed of 1250 km/h, or 100 km in five minutes, while the store “Gemoss” in the parking lot at Ropažu street 63, the first 50 kW charging station of the publicly available manufacturer “Autel” in Latvia has been installed with a charging speed of 330 km/h or 110 km in 20 minutes. A new “SimpleCharge” 11 kW charging station has also joined the “Eleport” network on Tērbatas Street, next to the Sports Palace gardens, which provides electricity from the street lamp post.
In Salacgrīvā, one 200 kW and one 22 kW alternating current or slow charging station has been installed near the recreation complex “Kapteiņu osta”, which provides a charging speed of 145 km/h and is suitable for guests staying in the complex for a longer period of time.
“Eleport” charging stations are equipped with two ports, and “SimpleCharge” with one port, thus providing 11 electric cars with charging options at the same time. These charging points are publicly available to all electric car users. The 200 kW stations are equipped with European standard CCS and CCS/CHA cables, the 50 kW station with CCS cables, and the AC stations (22 kW and 11 kW) with European standard Type 2 sockets.
Charging at Eleport stations can be performed by both registered customers using the Eleport app or a customer card, as well as previously unregistered customers by scanning the QR code on the charging station and making a prepayment via the website.
