According to the official declaration submitted by the chairman of VSIA “Latvian National Opera and Ballet Board”, Siliņš earned income in several places and in various ways last year. The biggest income was from the sale of the bond fund – 300 thousand euros – and another transaction with bonds yielded the same amount. And a sale was also made in the amount of 96,450 euros. So, in total, this income from the Frankfurt commercial bank in Germany reached almost 700 thousand euros for three transactions alone. Another 34,000 euros was indicated by Siliņš as income from the German “Deutsche Bank”.

What was Silin’s salary at the Opera? It slightly exceeds 82 thousand euros, also 3750 euros were received from VSIA “Latvian National Opera and Ballet” after the signed cooperation agreement. Last year, Siliņš also received awards as an opera soloist at various events abroad – 46,000 came from the Hungarian “Müpa Budapest” (the former Palace of Arts in Budapest); 35 thousand paid for participation in the Spring Festival in Tokyo, Japan; less than 40 thousand for singing at the Bayreuth Festival in Germany; 30.5 thousand euros entered the account from the Leipzig Opera, as well as from the Dresden Philharmonic.
The declaration also shows other incomes, also in the amount of a few tens or a few hundred euros. Also, several thousand have come to Silin as “income from economic activity and commercial activity”. And they are most likely either for performing at some events or for renting out the property. Because the manager of the Opera stated in his declaration that he owns five apartments in Riga, owns several plots of land and buildings in Engure parish, jointly owns two apartments in Valladolid, Spain, as well as land in Traspinedo province in Spain. Silin also owns two “Porsche Macan” cars – 2020 and 2017.

Already collected 2.25 million
Silins has huge savings – 164 thousand euros are in investment funds, about 40 thousand euros are invested in shares in the German financial institution “Commerzbank”, a little more in “Deutsche Bank”.
And, of course, there is no shortage of funds deposited in banks in non-cash money. 357 thousand euros, 670 thousand US dollars, 885 thousand Japanese yen and 18 thousand sterling pounds are stored in AS “Citadele banka”, a little more than one hundred thousand euros are deposited in “Luminor Bank”, 1.2 million euros are kept in the German “Commerzbank”, 115 thousand euros and 84 thousand US dollars – “Deutsche Bank”, the Spanish “Caja Rural De Soria” has accumulated almost 200 thousand euros, another hundred thousand is “Baltic International Bank”. Calculating together, Silin has a total of approximately 2.25 million euros in his bank accounts!
