Raspberry Pi 4 Availability and Where to Buy: Production and Distribution Improves after COVID-19

Not only are fans of raspberry computers still waiting for the new Raspberry Pi 5, they didn’t even have the opportunity to buy the older four for a long time. Since the beginning of covid, production and distribution have been significantly limited, and only at the end of last year did the situation begin to improve. However, it is only now returning to normal.

The head and founder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation confirmed that 788,000 computers were shipped in June, the second most successful month in history. In May, it was 612 thousand. At the same time, for the first three months of 2023, it was only 800,000.

Major UK retailer The Pi Hut says it has increased stock of the RPi 4 with 4GB of RAM, and everyone can order up to five at a time. Variants with a different capacity are to follow next time.

The Czech RPishop.cz also promises the same, which already has a four-gig variant in stock and also allows the purchase of up to five pieces per customer. The price compared to before increased to 1750 CZK, but the British manufacturer itself also made it more expensive. In addition to the RPi 4, the limited RPi Zero or the single-chip RPi Pico can already be bought “without problems”.
