“Several drones trying to fly to Moscow were shot down by anti-aircraft fire,” Sobyanin wrote on the Telegram messaging app.
“One of these planes reached the same tower in the Moskva City complex that was previously hit. The facade on the 21st floor was damaged. Glass shattered over an area of more than 150 square metres,” he added.
Sobyanin said there were no reports of injuries.
On the other hand, the TASS agency said that the Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow was temporarily closed.
“Vnukovo airport has been temporarily closed to incoming and outgoing travelers, and planes have been diverted to other airports,” Tass quoted emergency services as saying, before later reporting that the airport had resumed its normal operations.
