Mandela Keita, despite a personal agreement with Antwerp, is currently still an OHL player. But The Great Old does not give up.
Earlier, OHL already referred a bid of 5.5 million euros for the defensive midfielder to the trash. However, Antwerp does not give up and now wants to involve another player in the deal.
According to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, the national champion wants to involve Michael Frey (29) in the deal. The Swiss striker has disappeared into the background at The Reds since the arrival of Vincent Janssen, and has been loaned to the German Schalke 04 for the past six months.
The only problem: the Swiss striker is currently anything but eager for a transfer to OHL. Bad news for the people of Leuven, who could use a good striker at the moment.
