Tech sector’s Q2 results show fading growth and potential financial bubble concerns

The technology sector delivered investor-friendly results in the second quarter of this year, but the rapid growth fueled by enthusiasm for artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the first quarter has faded.

Last week, many players in the technology industry announced their financial results, and although compared to last year, the business indicators were strongly positive, this was not particularly reflected in the share prices. That’s because investors are wary and worried about what the fall might look like, with China’s economy faltering, Europe entering heating season and the US potentially entering a recession fueled by rising interest rates.

In addition, some analysts warn that a financial bubble has formed in the technology sector. It is especially mentioned in the context of graphics card manufacturer Nvidia, as the value of the company’s shares has increased by more than 220% since the beginning of the year until July 28.
