Allegedly, Instagram user Mustafa N. made threatening messages on social media, targeting national volleyball player Hande Baladin, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit team, and the sponsor company.
Mustafa N continued his threats with different posts on the same day. To Hande Baladin, “I said, “I said my daughter, I’ll lie on the forest road, I’ll scan your car on the way to the sports club. She didn’t complain about me. She wasn’t afraid of me. I publicly used whatever threats and harassment you can think of. But I looked like a pure lover to her. He used expressions like he was a person who could do anything. He also benefited from this…”, “I’m telling this girl that I’m going to throw acid in your face, she’s not even afraid of it.(…) There is no death for me without taking revenge on this girl”.
Concerned about the safety of her life after these posts, Hande Baladin filed a criminal complaint with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Baladin, who came to the prosecutor’s office and gave a statement, demanded that the suspect be punished. Upon the complaint, it was learned that the address search of the suspect by the police was continuing.

“CAUSED FEAR AND ANXIETY”
In a written statement made by Baladin’s lawyer, Efe Oğuz, “As it was determined on 20 July 2023, MN, who sent harassment and threatening messages and voice recordings to his client Hande Baladin via social media, caused fear and anxiety for his client with his posts in question. The same person continued to cause public disturbance by trying to break into and damage the company building where the Eczacıbaşı Dynavit volleyball team and its sponsor were playing. “All procedures are carefully followed by the Prosecutor’s Office and the police, and we have absolute confidence in the Turkish judiciary and security that the necessary action will be taken against the suspect.”
