His comment comes after the eerie incident of the brutal violence against a young girl from Stara Zagora.
Provoked by what was written, journalist Martin Karbowski responded to the Booker winner on the social network by uploading his own post about the status. He described Gospodinov as “the gentleman who used Van der Lube.” Marinus van der Luebe (note ed.) was a Dutch communist accused of setting fire to the Reichstag on February 27, 1933.

“The politicization of the Stara Zagora case will continue.
The attempt to attribute a crime to a certain group of people is disgusting and un@zustki.
The person who was talking about how the conversation between us is broken is doing it right now.
All the European fairy tales about not hating each other and being carefully tolerant in communication come to this – they take one crime (such as setting fire to the Reichstag) and stick it to a group of people or a party.
This is how enemies are won, not conversations and arguments.
The writer is no longer a writer. He’s an agitator.”
We remind you that a national protest is scheduled for today in support of the brutally cut girl from Stara Zagora.
