This Monday, July 31, the medical brigades of the Ministry of Health will begin a raking to combat coqueluche in Santa Cruz. The actions include the vaccination and epidemiological surveillance in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, District 1 of the municipality of La Guardia, and in the communities of Pozo del Tigre and Tunas de Pailón.
This Sunday, the Vice Minister of Promotion and Epidemiological Surveillance, Max Enríquez, who has been in the department of Santa Cruz since Friday, met with the mayor of La Guardia to coordinate this week’s work.
The Ministry of Health reported that, this Monday, in the capital of Santa Cruz, authorities from the three levels of State will carry out the “official launch” of the work to stop the spread of whooping cough or whooping cough. They calculate that 115 medical brigades will depart from the East Health network to vaccinate and carry out epidemiological surveillance, in search of active cases of coqueluche.
This Saturday the 29th, the Headquarters announced that there are 380 cases of coqueluche in the department of Santa Cruz.
