Confirmed: iPhone 15 Prices to Increase, According to Bloomberg

We have heard repeatedly that this year buyers should be prepared for higher prices for the new line of iPhone 15 smartphones. Now this information is confirmed by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.

What to expect

Mark says consumers should expect “slight” price increases internationally as well as in the US, especially on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. All due to the fact that they should get a titanium case and an improved camera system.

Here’s how Mark Gurman put it in today’s newsletter:

“I would expect at least a slight increase in prices for all four models outside the US. I also don’t rule out price hikes in the US – at least for some pro models – given the move to titanium and a more expensive camera system on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. For context: Apple charges $100 more for titanium watches than their stainless steel counterparts.

Earlier, a Barclays analyst said that the rise in price could be up to $200. And Bloomberg wrote that Apple plans to ship about 85 million units of the iPhone 15 this year, about the same as the iPhone 14 was sold in the same period last year. But the company expects total revenue to increase due to higher unit prices.
