Nintendo held its first official Open Tournament at Manbo today (30th), including the Open Tournaments of “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition” and “Splash 3”.
In the morning before the game, Birdshit, 6tan, and Xiaokui led the players to play “Everybody 1-2-Switch!” together, which heated up the stage.
“Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition” is expected to call 64 players to participate this time, but it has attracted 134 players to sign up in less than a day since its opening. Among the final 64 players, the youngest is only 6 years old and the oldest is 45 years old. Twelve of them were minors.
This time, the finals were held directly on the stage. The four players who won the preliminaries competed together. In the end, the player “bald” won the championship. In the four maps, he ran first three times and was shy on the stage. Said that he was lucky to win the championship. The champion received a medal and a set of steering wheels.
“Spratun 3” recruited 32 teams (one team with 4 people) this time, and it was full on the second day of opening registration. Among them, there are 31 minors, the youngest is only 5 years old (but this event requires at least 6 years old to participate), and the oldest is 44 years old. Judging from the registration status of “Marche 8”, it proves that Nintendo’s ability to take all players, young and old, is unmatched.
“Spratun 3” started from the quarter-finals this time. There were many mixed-match teams, some all-female teams, and some self-organized teams. Each team showed a strong tacit cooperation. Moreover, the battle conditions are quite exciting, and they have played beautiful reversals several times.
In the end, the team “Smart Roast Chicken” made it all the way to the final duel “N2S2”. After losing one set first, they chased two sets in a row and won the championship. In addition to the medal, they also won a “Spratun 3” Backpack.
Hiroyuki Matsumoto, chairman of Hong Kong Nintendo Taiwan Branch, said at the end, “Hong Kong Nintendo will hold more such player activities in Taiwan, please support us.” This has already laid the groundwork for the next major Nintendo event.
