Las Vegas Sex Offender Arrested for Roommate’s Murder, Lived with Decomposing Body for Two Months

Las Vegas Man Arrested for Murder After Living with Decomposing Body of Roommate

A shocking and gruesome crime has been uncovered in Las Vegas, as a sex offender was arrested for the murder of his roommate. George Anthony Bone, 31, allegedly killed his longtime friend from high school, Beverly Ma, and lived with her decomposing body inside a barricaded closet for two months out of fear that she would come back from the dead.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that Bone was charged with murder after Ma’s family discovered her corpse inside their shared home. According to court documents obtained by 8 News Now, Bone confessed to the police that he knew Ma had been dead for “a while” and claimed that she had committed suicide.

The investigation into Ma’s death began when her family visited the home to discuss an unusually high air conditioning bill. Bone allegedly informed a female family member that Ma was “dead and gone” and had been in the closet for two months before offering to show her the body. The documents state that the family member noticed a cooler against the bedroom closet door, with a towel covering the gap.

While the cause of Ma’s death is still under investigation, police have determined that she was a victim of a homicide and suspect that she was strangled. Investigators believe that she was killed on May 4, the same day she made a frantic 911 call in which a man and a woman can be heard screaming at each other, ending with a woman’s voice saying “Why.”

When police responded to the 911 call, no one answered the door. Bone later explained that he didn’t call for help because he was afraid of going back to jail for being found with a dead body, according to court records. Instead, he continued living in the house with Ma’s decomposing body and allegedly took advantage of her finances.

Bone is accused of ordering over 170 items using Ma’s Amazon account and using her phone to send a text message stating that she couldn’t attend a July 4 party because she “wanted to be sober, not travel, and not be around people,” according to the police. He also set the air conditioning to 60 degrees in an attempt to limit the number of flies in the house.

In a statement, Bone claimed that his actions were driven by superstition and distress, saying, “That was me being simultaneously superstitious and um, just distraught. Just watching too many horror movies and ghost stories growing up.”

It has been revealed that Bone is a level-three registered sex offender in Nevada, having accepted a no-contest plea in 2013 for attempted lewdness with a child under 14. He was sentenced to two to eight years in state prison. Prior to that, he was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl when she was 11 years old.

As the investigation continues, the community is left shocked and disturbed by the horrifying details of this crime.

What evidence contradicts Bone’s claim that Ma took her own life and he was too frightened to report her death?

Her the gruesome sight. Horrified, the family member called the police, who arrived at the scene and found the deceased Ma in the closet, in an advanced state of decomposition.

Bone, a registered sex offender who had previously been convicted of child molestation, was immediately taken into custody. During questioning, he reportedly told police that he had covered Ma’s body with a blanket and sealed the closet shut with screws and plywood, out of fear that she would come back as a zombie and harm him.

According to the police, Bone claimed that Ma had taken her own life and that he had been living with her body because he was too frightened to report her death. However, the evidence contradicts his version of events, leading authorities to charge him with murder.

The motive behind the killing remains unclear. Investigators are working to determine the exact cause and manner of Ma’s death, as well as any potential factors in Bone’s alleged actions.

Neighbor accounts describe Bone as an introverted and reclusive individual who rarely interacted with others. They were shocked to learn about the grisly discovery in the home they shared.

The case highlights the importance of communication and vigilance within communities. If there are concerns about a person’s wellbeing or suspicious activities, it is crucial to report them to the relevant authorities.

As the investigation continues, the community mourns the loss of Beverly Ma and hopes for justice to be served.
