Lenovo Tab P12: A First-Class Giant Tablet for Content Consumption

The line of giant tablets is strengthened by the recently announced Lenovo Tab P12, which exceptionally begins its career not in China, but here in Europe. The device follows the Tab P12 Pro 5G from two years ago, and it is expected to become a first-class content consuming machine, thanks to the 12.7-inch display and the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor that has been hidden under the cover.

Lenovo’s tablet boasts a 12.7-inch LTPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2944 x 1840 pixels. Although the refresh rate is only 60 Hz, we will probably use this machine primarily for consuming multimedia content instead of playing games. To make going to the cinema a real experience, the device has 4 speakers tuned by JBL.

Inside the Lenovo Tab P12 is a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, which by the way is a fairly decent mid-range chipset with a stripe width of 6 nanometers. Depending on the package, the MediaTek chip can be accompanied by 4 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage, the latter of which can be expanded at any time using a micro SD card. Taking photos with such a large tablet is really awkward, but there will be no hindrance in terms of hardware, thanks to the 8 megapixel camera on the back and 13 megapixel on the front, the former with autofocus and the latter with an ultra-wide angle of view.

A battery with a capacity of 10,200 mAh tries to satisfy the energy needs of the Lenovo tablet, the battery supports 30 watt charging. The Tab P12 runs the Android 13 operating system, and the manufacturer promises two major version updates and four years of security patching for the device. The tablet’s display can also be controlled with a stylus, the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus pen will also be included in the box of the Tab P12, meaning you don’t have to pay for it separately.

The Lenovo Tab P12 will be available in gray and green colors at a price of 400 euros, or roughly HUF 153,000. Although the pen is free, you have to pay extra for the keyboard case, which together with the machine costs 500 euros, that is, roughly HUF 191,000.

The Lenovo Tab M10 tablet made its debut in India at the beginning of July, and will also be available in Europe from August. The tablet equipped with the Snapdragon 695 chip will also cost 400 euros, or about HUF 153,000.
