Have you ever seen a YouTube or Streamer showing those cool details while gaming? Want to know how they did it? When I was playing games before, I wanted to understand the running status of the computer, and I wanted to get to the bottom of it. Is it because the computer equipment is not up to date, or there is really a problem with the game optimization… But some games are not preset to display the information Sun Spring, or they are not at all. No! Although there are some built-in information display applications on the PC itself, when it comes to both practicality and coolness, let’s leave it to MSI, a major e-sports manufacturer. First of all, this is not Ye Peipin, it is free and easy to use recommended by MSI Afterburner villagers. Monitoring software: Afterburner (msi.com)
Download & Install & Start
First of all, the name of MSI Afterburner is really too big, many unscrupulous phishing websites will pretend to steal data, please be aware of the official download of MSI.”Be sure to check” RivaTuner Statistics Server when installing for the first time, it is very important to check
Then start MSI Afterburner normally, then the Rivatuner statistics server will also be enabled together
Advance preparation
First make sure that the Show On-Screen Display function of the Rivatuner statistics server is enabled
Then start a small game that does not take up much resources, and can be switched at will, and the window can be reduced to facilitate you to view the settings. Then you can start setting, please do not close the three windows during the setting
set start
First click the gear icon on the left side of MSI Afterburne to enter the setting interface
Then click the monitoring option in the setting interface
Then click on the information you want to display in the game in the “Activated Hardware Monitoring Chart”. The editor uses “Core Usage” as an example.Check the “Display on OSD” and “Override group name” options and apply them, then you should be able to see the displayed information in the game
“Display on OSD” is to display information in the game; “Override group name” is to display the item independently, and you can modify the name you want to display. Like here, I changed the default GPU to the name of the graphics card for easy identification (Tips: Please set the name in English, Chinese is prone to garbled characters) If this option is not checked, all the information of the same color (same category) will be displayed together, it depends on your preferences
If you find that the information displayed in the game is arranged in a mess after setting, you can adjust the order by dragging the selection direction
Attached is the information sheet that the editor is used to displaying:
Core Utilization (GPU Utilization)
Core Temp (GPU Temp)
CPU usage
CPU temperature
RAM usage (scratch memory usage)
Display number (FPS display frames per second)
Frametime (frame generation time)
Advanced display settings
The basic setup is complete, but everyone wants a cool display! Then the advanced settings start!Click on “Show on OSD”… more options
Here you can click to customize the colors of different categories of items. The system has preset different colors for different categories of items such as GPU and CPU, so the settings are intuitive.
Pull the chart below and you can customize the length, width and height of the displayed chart. Basically, just like the editor, change the Width to -9.
The final setting returns to RivaTuner Statistics Server, click Raster 3D to change the font
OSD shadow – font plus frame
OSD fill – chart background shadow
OSD zoom – Zoom in and out of the chart
The last box allows the user to drag the position of the chart display arbitrarily
Congratulations on completing all settings! If you want to see these cool information in the future, just turn on MSI Afterburner while playing games and it will be displayed automatically. Whether it is live or recorded, everyone can feel that you are super professional, right? o(-`д´- 。)
