It was during the pandemic that “Les Goguettes en trio mais à quatre” really met their audience. Their parodies of songs are like remedies for melancholy, with funny and sassy lyrics. We advise you to see or review their show recorded in December 2021 at the Chanzy Theater in Angers. It is broadcast this August 03 in the third part of the evening in “Plage aux spectacles”.
Always accompanied by their faithful piano, as well as flamboyant guitars and breathtaking high-end synthesizers, the four friends of Goguettes tackle French song in all its forms.
They give advice to Jean Castex on an air with Rita Mitsouko sauce, approach the theme of love in the era of veganism with the song “Le premier pas” by Claude-Michel Schoenberg. They summon Village People to talk about Macron and “En Marche”.
They also poke fun at COVID with Francis Cabrel, or with Richard Gotainer in a hilarious “Where is the pangolin?”

This group, formed in 2013, became known during the pandemic thanks to the publication of DIY videos on the internet. As of August 2020, they have accumulated up to 12 million views on YouTube. Since then, everything has accelerated: invitations on the radio, on television, in the newspapers, and despite the COVID, concerts and tours have followed one another.
One of their shows, entitled “Confilmés”, was also the subject of an immersive documentary broadcast last January on France 3. The members of the group, Clémence, Aurélien, Valentin and Stan, all have close links with the Pays de la Loire region.
In the great tradition of chansonniers, their credo is to make people laugh and think! Their parodies are political and social, and no one is spared, starting with politicians, with Macron in the front line, but also many others…
A goguette is a joke that feels good! In a good-natured tone, these troublemakers soothe the annoyances and the fed up caused by our intensive consumption of all-out information and social networks.
They scratch our certainties, our evasions, make fun of well-rehearsed political speeches, but also of our most intimate behaviors when they become caricatures of ourselves. They thus adopt a welcome self-mockery towards them.

Their audience is varied, from right to left. The “Goguettes” claim “the 50 shades of the Left”. What brings them together? It is their refusal to abstain from elections, because they believe in civic engagement, in culture and in civil society. With impertinence, they draw from the repertoire of French song and appropriate this heritage.
Their somewhat wise and polite appearance contrasts with their nature as showmen. They interpret with fury and without any restraint the riffs of Johnny or Rita Mitsouko. On stage, these four accomplices excel in exchange and improvisation, and share a great bond with the audience.

They met at “Limonaire”, a famous wine and song bar located in the 9ᵉ arrondissement of Paris. This café-concert organizes a goguette evening every Monday, open to everyone who has something to say.
Clémence is a doctor in musicology, pianist and harpsichordist. Originally, she rather listened to cantatas and arias by Bach, or played the complete Couperin on a harpsichord. But she preferred to turn to variety, camping tours, bars and provincial scenes, as well as goguettes. With stars in her eyes, she tells how her familiarity with the chords specific to the harpsichord pushed her to leave music theory to enter the world of musical accompaniment.
Harmony is jazz, it is the accompaniment of songs!
Clemency
pianist and singer of the “Goguettes”.
Aurélien is a free radio host. He recorded his first album and defended on the radio the RAREDMI (Rally for a Radical Improvement in Listening and the Diffusion of Unusual Music). For RADIO G (Radio Angers), he hosts interviews with artists performing in Angers. It was there that he met Dick Annegarn and Bertrand Belin, whom he later opened for. The Inrocks and the Internet even compare him to a new Dick Annegarn. He created “Le Saule”, an independent label with which he produces about fifteen artists. He joined the “Goguettes” in 2013.
Valentin is a musician and always wanted to be. Since his childhood in Orne, he has been immersed in jazz, coming from a long family of instrumental musicians. Today, he goes from bass and rock chords to ukulele without batting an eyelid. Initially, he self-published with his label “Hé Ouais Mec Productions”. His repertoire is romantic at will, but never devoid of humour. Valentin is at the origin of “La symphonie confinée”, a video on the song “La Tendresse” by Bourvil, created with 40 musicians, each at home, but gathered for the occasion on the Internet. This video has also racked up four million views…
A song, it passes under the door, it crosses borders, we remember a melody, we sing it in “la la la” and we take it up in chorus, whether we are from here or elsewhere !
Stanislas, meanwhile, is not just “goguetier”, as he calls himself. He is a labor law specialist for a legal publishing house. He fully assumes his “double life”. He writes a goguette when inspiration takes him! For this, he makes his harvest of newspapers and magazines every week. His goguettes are always rooted in the social or the political.
For 10 years, the “Goguettes” have become masters of the art of parody, mixing humor and reflection. Their growing success during the pandemic has propelled them to the forefront, allowing them to reach an ever wider audience. With their creativity and daring, they continue to entertain us and spark our own thinking.
Les Goguettes ended their tour with this show. We will find them on the stage of “La Cigale” in Paris, from March 27 to 30, 2024.

The story: One is the sadistic boss, a terrifying tyrant who likes to be obeyed at the slightest frown. The other is the bum, whipping boy and designated victim of this mad scientist-like chef. A rhythmic and essentially visual show, “La Cuisine” revisits the classic relationship between the clown duo (the beautiful and the ugly, the intelligent and the imbecile, the strong and the weak). Everything is treated in an ostensibly burlesque, and frankly custard-like way.
