Replacing letters or symbols, and putting up new signs requires permission, both for reasons of design and safety.
It also requires a permit to put a sign on the roof of a building.
– Any replacement letters or symbols require a permit to ensure the history of the building, and to ensure that it is securely attached, says spokesperson Patrick Hannan in the Department of Building Inspection in San Francisco.
Examining the sign
– It is necessary to go through plans and approvals for this sign. The city authorities have opened a complaint and started an investigation into the sign, says Hannan to AP.
More media have tried to contact X on Friday evening to get a comment after the logo crease, but X has not yet responded.
The Twitter owner himself seems to be satisfied with the result. On Friday night, he posted a video of the new illuminated logo:
It was last October that Musk bought the platform. Several of the changes he has made have drawn fierce criticism, particularly the restrictions on how many Tweets – or X’s – a regular user can see.
Some have also speculated whether it will lead to the death of the platform.
