Funny episode experienced by Jehan Daruvala (MP Motorsport) at Spa-Francorchamps this Saturday. As he was about to start the third lap of the Sprint Race in the lead, the Indian suddenly took the direction of the pit lane to throw in the towel.
At first glance, the abandonment seemed odd since it had not been hit. It could be a mechanical failure. Finally, it was a completely different problem that forced him to return to the pit lane. Indeed, Jehan Daruvala lost his headrest in the middle of the race! Deprived of this element, the MP Motorsport driver was therefore unable to complete the 17 laps, leaving the race lead to Richard Verschoor (VAR) later beaten by Enzo Fittipaldi (Carlin).
