The US Causes Chaos in Iraq: Sanctions and Falling Currency Value

The US has created havoc in Iraq. This is reported by the telegram channel “Militarist”.

Earlier it was reported about the protests in Iraq, the cause of which is the rapid fall in the value of the local currency. The USA is the cause of the current crisis.

Last week they announced sanctions against 14 banks in Iraq, including a ban on trading in dollars.

The move comes after authorities in the US discovered that the banks had violated sanctions on Iran and transferred dollars there. There are 72 banks in Iraq, 22 of them are under US sanctions.

After the American decision, the dinar exchange rate on the black market fell by 17% compared to the official rate, so the Iraqis are demanding that the authorities do something.
