“Today, the most pressing topic in our region is viral hepatitis B, C and fatty liver disease,” said Aykerim Saktagan, specialist of the hepatological center of the regional multidisciplinary hospital.
On the basis of MOMB, a hepatocenter operates – the only center for the diagnosis and treatment of complex liver diseases in the region. Experts recommend once a year to undergo a preventive appointment with a hepatologist and take tests.
– The Hepatology Center pays more attention to the fight against viral hepatitis – prevention, screening examinations and treatment. Our doctors work according to the regulations approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Therefore, it is so important that patients turn to us, and not to private organizations, where they are not responsible for the consequences of the treatment, – said Zhanar Baimanova, head of the consultative and diagnostic polyclinic of MOMB.
It should be noted that the residents of the region were received by three specialists: the chief freelance gastroenterologist Polina Muldasheva and hepatologists Aykerim Saktagan and Roza Atasheva.
According to WHO, about two billion people in the world are affected by viral hepatitis, that is, every third inhabitant of the planet. 325 million people live with viral hepatitis B or C.
