Mumbai: BCCI president Roger Binny and NCA chief V.V.S. from Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Laxman will also collect information. The action comes in the wake of untoward incidents during the ODI series against Bangladesh in their home country.

In the third ODI, Harmanpreet hit the stumps in protest against the umpire’s wrong decision and later publicly expressed his displeasure with the umpiring during the prize distribution.

Following this, the ICC took disciplinary action and imposed a fine of 75 percent of the match fee. After receiving four demerit points, it is certain that the suspended Harmanpreet will not be able to win India’s quarter-final match in the Asian Games, and if it wins, the semi-final.

The women’s cricket matches at the Asian Games will be held from September 19 to 26. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah has stated that there will be no appeal against Harmanpreet’s suspension. Harmanpreet is going to be interrogated even after the ICC action as per BCCI’s special instructions.
