Teacher’s Last Wish: Attendees Bring Croquettes Instead of Flowers to Help Animals

Even after his death, a teacher looked for a way to help ‘lomitos’ and ‘michis’ with food, asking as her last will that they attendees at his funeral will bring croquettes instead of flowers.

This gesture on the part of social networks went viral. Arcadia Iglesias Reyeswho was a retired professor at the Center for Industrial and Services Technological Studies (CBTis) number 44 of Teziutlán, in Puebla.

The teacher passed away on July 7. and for the funeral service, an obituary was distributed asking the companions to help fulfill Arcadia’s wish, which was to bring a bag of croquettes instead of flowers to help animals in a shelter.

The food collected was donated to a local organization that helps dogs and cats in situations of abandonment or abuse.
