A firefighter on vacation helped avoid a tragedy in Arcangues. This Friday, July 28, around 5 p.m., a car and a scooter collided on departmental road 254. On the scooter, a 35 year old mother, as well as her nine-year-old son. Following the collision, the driver found herself in cardio-respiratory arrest.
A firefighter from Aude
Near the scene of the accident, a firefighter from Aude intervened quickly to help the victims. She is the one who provides first aid to the driver, pending the arrival of his colleagues from Anglet. An intervention which made it possible to resuscitate the victim before transporting him in a state of absolute emergency to the Bayonne hospital center. His son, shocked, was transported to the same site in a state of relative emergency.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident, also shocked, did not did not need to be transported to the hospital.
