Enjoy Fun and Festive Activities at Karl-Marx Square: Summer in Place at Fernand-Texier Neighborhood Center

Many parents and children came to Karl-Marx Square on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to enjoy the fun and festive activities that the Fernand-Texier neighborhood center offered as part of the Summer in Place operation (which the town hall organizes all year round). summer to allow Martinéroises and Martinérois of all ages to take full advantage of this summer period).

An introduction to sports

From 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., in partnership with services from the town hall and associations, the community center activities team gave youngsters the opportunity to read and listen to stories and tales. For the most active inhabitants, they were able to discover and learn about certain sports such as archery or boxing.

The little ones were able to enjoy the water games while the older ones, often with the family, were able to play with traditional wooden games. For adults, a relaxation and massage area was well attended and at 7 p.m., there was a Hassani blues/funk fusion concert by the group Desert Street.

Desert Street is a group of three North African and French musicians who want to discover their sunny and rhythmic musical fusions of Hassani blues (Oued Noun region), funk, flamenco, rock and pop.

Diversified musical colors which aim to bring together and make known and appreciated its different music with mosaic harmonies and electroacoustic vibrations.

Thanks to the talents and dynamism of these three musicians, some of the audience sketched a few dance steps.

After having quenched their thirst thanks to a bar run by volunteers, the public, at 9.30 p.m., was able to attend the outdoor screening of the film High and loud by director N. Ayouch.
