Winners of the VIII edition of the ‘Premios Just Eat’: Best Restaurants in Spain 2022

Just Eat has celebrated the VIII edition of the ‘Premios Just Eat’. These awards are intended recognize the work of the restaurants attached to the platform“which stand out for the excellence of their offer and home service to adapt to an increasingly digital consumer,” the company explains.

For yet another year, Just Eat customers have been in charge of choosing the best restaurants in Spain through their votes. The winners, 20 in totalare divided into four categories main:

‘Best restaurant by type of food’ (Asian, American, Indian, Italian, Mexican, poke, Spanish, vegetarian and breakfasts & snacks).
‘Best restaurant by area’ (Canary Islands, Catalonia-Aragon-Baleares, Central Zone, Levante, South Zone and North Zone).
‘Special Categories’ (Most innovative, Best new restaurant 2022, Best restaurant in RRSS and Best sustainable restaurant).
‘Best restaurant in Spain’an award given to the restaurant with the highest number of votes by platform users.

This year, Home Pizzafrom Castelldefels (Barcelona), has won the prize for ‘Best restaurant in Spain‘ for its extra-thin crust artisan pizzas and the selection of fresh products. Home Pizza already has three Just Eat awards, in 2019 and 2021 it won ‘Best Restaurant in Catalonia’.

“Many thanks to Just Eat and our team and employees who make this possible, it’s a great reward for all of us,” they stated. David Varela and Alejandro Moreno from Home Pizza after collecting the awards.

Just Eat users voted for Bao Bun Street in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Tenerife)as ‘Most Innovative Restaurant’. Jose Maria Robayna from Bao Bun Street thanked the award and said “We revolutionized Asian food with a very good cook and with very good ideas.”

Roman de Castro of Locco Burger from Seville received the award for ‘Best New Restaurant’ y has stated: “We wanted to make a place where hamburgers were crazier, we’ve only been here for 6 months and we’ve been going strong.”

Just Eat created the award ‘Most sustainable restaurant’ four years ago in response to industry concerns about the impact on society. This year, Qi Food Restaurant Healthy has been awarded in this category for its commitment and respect for the environment. It is a healthy and local restaurant, located in Elche (Alicante)which is moved by society’s need to eat healthy again and with less ultra-processed foods.

The award ‘Most sustainable restaurant’ has given way to a video of Notpla with Rodrigo García, co-founder of the startup that has developed seaweed-coated packaging that is fully recyclable and disappears within four to six weeks, and is now available on the Just Eat Online Store .

The award to ‘Best restaurant in Social Networks’ has received it There you go! de Valladolid, for its careful profile in networks and strategy in this channel. In addition, the users of the platform are the best jury to choose the restaurants that during the last year have stood out for innovation, sustainability and their presence in social networks, among other relevant factors of the current market”.

In addition to the awards, the winning restaurants in each category will be awarded by Just Eat with the greatest visibility on the platform for a year, they will obtain a wide range of merchandising items for home deliveries, resources for their social networks, in addition to discount vouchers to distribute among clients and followers in networks, and other great benefits for standing out as the best.

Currently, Just Eat has 100 types of food on the platform, which already has more than 28,000 connected members. In addition, the company includes more than 100 major restaurant brands and is present in 2,800 municipalities in Spain, currently covering 95% of the national territory.
