European stocks retreated on Friday from multi-month highs hit during the previous session, as investors digested a mixed bag of corporate earnings reports and rising bond yields.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell 0.3% after closing on Thursday at its highest level in a year and a half, following the European Central Bank’s interest rate hike.
Capgemini shares fell 7.5% after the French information technology consultancy group said it would invest 2 billion euros ($2.19 billion) in artificial intelligence over three years.
