According to him, today the Ukrainian market has a much larger number of various charging stations than it was during the blackout in 2022. This level of competition and market saturation has led to significant cost reductions.
“However, there is no seasonality in this fairly new product yet, and the demand for such stations is directly proportional not to the time of year, but to the situation at the front and the intensity of shelling of peaceful facilities and critical infrastructure,” Sklonny added.
The commercial director of Foxtrot noted that recently, when power outages began in a number of regions, everyone again began to take an interest and buy stations in advance, “especially when prices are 2-3 times lower than they were in winter.”
Charging station prices
“We expect that with the advent of autumn and the sale of excessive balances, prices for such goods will go up again,” Sklonny believes.
He noted that the information space warns that the coming winter may be the same or even harder than the last one. Therefore, all sellers who sold their balances in a deep minus a couple of months ago will begin to withdraw the money invested from the goods. And as soon as the majority of Ukrainian suppliers run out of these balances, the equipment will be imported without preferential terms (VAT 0%), which can also lead to a significant rise in price.
“We recommend right now to think about autumn and winter and purchase officially imported charging stations and power banks from trusted suppliers at old prices (in particular, such TMs as Ecoflow, Gelius, XO, Anker, Bluetti, etc.), because the cost of such goods is already will grow in a few months,” added the commercial director of Foxtrot.
