In 2021 Pietro Lombardi became a victim of credit card fraud. On Instagram he now reveals that he has not recovered the stolen 500,000 euros. He is also very afraid that this could happen again, which is why he does not use a credit card.
During an Instagram question and answer session, Pietro Lombardi (31) goes into an unpleasant experience from his past: Two years ago, the singer was the victim of large-scale credit card fraud. Despite the ad, Pietro has not received any money back to this day – and that with a fraudulent sum of 500,000 euros.
Pietro Lombardi feels abandoned
When asked if he got his money back from credit card fraud, the father of two explains that he feels let down by the banks and his credit card provider: “I lost 500,000 euros and nobody really cared” and: “If you have money must pay, are all fast. When it comes to justice, everyone is gone!”. It was very clear that it was fraud, but he has now come to terms with the fact that he will not get the money back.
Pietro Lombardi on fraud: “very bad time”
In the following story, Pietro even shows footage of the ad: The scammers deducted 270,000 euros from his credit card. And that twice, as Pietro explains. It was a “very bad time” for him. Because the shock runs deep, to this day Pietro trusts neither credit cards nor online banking: “Since that day I no longer have a credit card, no online banking, nothing. Because I’m really scared that something like this will happen again”.
