Upcoming Concerts and Performances in Jüchen

Jüchen music lovers can be happy: in August and September there are a lot of concerts and performances on the program. The range is large, there should be something for almost every taste. An overview:

Castle Summer At the new event in Schloss Dyck from August 4th to 6th (Friday and Saturday until 10 p.m., Sunday until 6 p.m.), several ensembles will play on two stages. There are choirs such as the police choir Düsseldorf, pop choir Encanto, children’s choir of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss music school and the vocal ensemble Cantica Vobis, the big band of the Jüchen high school, the youth jazz orchestra NRW, splash percussion NRW, multiphonic quartet, RE: UNION4TET, the Spanish gypsy ensemble and soloists of the Lower Rhine Symphony Orchestra. Lower Rhine Music Festival The festival makes two guest appearances at Schloss Dyck. On Sunday, August 20, at 5 p.m., the ensemble will present the magic of the Alhambra – Music, Dance and Poetry from Spain” in the inner courtyard of the High Castle. On August 27th at 5 p.m., “Passione Italiana – Italy in Poetry, Sound and Dance” is on the program, a new production of the Niederrhein Music Festival. Tickets: www.niederrhein-musikfestival.de.

music in the park It will also be musical in the Schmölderpark in Hochneukirch. On Saturday, August 26, at 7 p.m., the cover band “Kings for a Day” will be performing as part of the NEW music summer, with the big band from the Jüchen high school supporting the band. The city is cooperating with NEW and the Hochneukirch local history club for the event. On Sunday, September 17, at 11 a.m., the Irish folk band “Seisiún” will play at “Musik im Park”. Admission is free.

Jüchen jazzes The new music series starts on Saturday, September 16, at 7 p.m. in the Jüchen high school. Jazz singer Sabine Kühlich will kick things off, accompanied by Trio Indigo with drummer André Spajic, pianist Martin Scholz and bassist Caris Hermes. The jazz combo of the high school will play as the opening act. Tickets (ten euros) at the information desk in the town hall.
