Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – WhatsApp launched a new feature called ‘Instant Video Messages’. As the name implies, this feature allows users to quickly share video chats.
The mechanism is similar to Voice Messages. Usually, when a user is in a complicated situation and can’t type, Voice Messages is a savior.
Well, Instant Video Messages can record with a duration of up to 60 seconds. When the recipient opens the chat room, the video will automatically play in muted mode.
So, how is it different from the usual video recording feature that has been around for a long time on WhatsApp? First, in terms of interface, Instant Video Messages will be sent in a round frame, not a square.
In addition, access is also easier. Pre-existing video features require several steps to record and deliver content.
Meanwhile, in Instant Video Messages, users can simply select the icon for Voice Messages which is available on the lower right side of the application. Then, switch to Instant Video Messages mode to start recording.
Another difference is in the memory storage space. The previously existing video feature will save files to the HP. In contrast to Instant Video Messages which are only stored in the application.
This feature has been released on a limited basis some time ago. In its official blog, WhatsApp boasted that it would bring this feature to all users in the next few weeks.
