The love story of Jennifer Sodamin (32) from Techelsberg am Wörthersee and Patrick Kröpl (33) from St. Michael ob Bleiburg/Šmihel nad Pliberkon began in 2014. “Patrick saw me as a lady-in-waiting on TV in ‘Bauer sucht Frau’ in 2014 and contacted me directly on Facebook,” says the happy bride Jennifer Sodamin. After two years of friendship, the love spark jumped over in the summer of 2016.
Since then, the office worker and the self-employed lawyer have also been living out their common passion – travelling. “We spontaneously booked our first vacation to Egypt at the Christmas market in Klagenfurt between mulled wine, incense and chestnuts,” says Sodamin about the first trip to Egypt together at the beginning of 2017.
A blended family
From then on, the couple was inseparable. In the same year they moved in together and the following year in August their daughter Marie (5) saw the light of day. Jennifer brought her son Dennis (17) into the new family from a previous relationship. In 2019, the patchwork family fulfilled a dream and bought a house in Haimburg near Völkermarkt.
In a small pavilion by the sea, the groom proposed to his bride in May 2022 on a holiday trip to Croatia. This year the time had come: on July 1, the wedding bells rang for the couple. The civil and church wedding took place in Wolfsberg with little Marie as the ring bearer and around 50 guests. Then we drove to the Stückler riding stables in the bridal car. For the honeymoon, the whole family went to Egypt for 14 days to enjoy some time off together.
